During the winter break, I headed to the Philippines to visit family...
During my stay in the Philippines I got to spend Christmas and New Years with them. The way they celebrated Christmas and New Years was the best. At Christmas our family got together and played a bunch of games. It didn't matter what age you were, you could still play the games. We played games like musical chair, statue dance, apple eating, egg rage and so on. And if you won, you would either receive money or food. During our Christmas party, people would come by and sing christmas carols, and we would give them some kind of money just to say thank you for coming by. We had a lot of carolers that night.
During New Years my mom was telling me we were going to have another party. So my mom and my aunts were preparing food. I was expecting people to come by at around 8 or 9pm. But nobody came, so I kept asking my mom if we were actually going to have people over. It was around 11:30, and I started to feel very sleepy. My mom just kept telling me to wait. It was almost 12am and no one was there. I was like "wow, this is really lame." 2 minutes past 12 a bunch of people started to come over. I was so shocked. My whole family, neighbors, and friends came over. I found out that they don't celebrate till after 12am. We had fireworks and everything. It was a very loud night. And a very long night too.
While I was in the philippines, my counsin got married. She asked me to be her maid of honor so I had do to a bunch of preperation for the wedding. Before the wedding we spend a whole day taking pre-nuptial shots. We went everywhere. I was really tired at the end of the day.
My family also got together to celebrate my grandfathers 4th year death anniversary. We went to the cemetary and said a prayer and then went back to my uncle's house to eat. We had to have 3 jeepneys (which are giangantic vans) to bring my whole family home. The jeepney that I was in had a flat in the middle of a dark dark road. And I was really scared. haha.
My family also got together again to eat to celebrate my mom's birthday.

My trip in the Philippines was the best Christmas and New Years. I loved spending time with my family and just being there. I miss the Philppines and my family a lot and I can't wait for the next time I go back :)

We just finished term 1, and it's been an interesting term.
For term 2 i'm exicted to see what other new programs we'll be learning and what new things I can do.
Taking IT, I didn't know I could learn this much, and I wasn't excited at first, but now i'm interested in coming to IT and learning stuff like photoshop, or excel.
It's complicated at first but then once you get it it's a lot of fun.

So overall IT is fun. And I'm excited to see what's next =)

So, google has this new thing called Street View.
Street View allows you to search up an address and then see what it actually looks like.
In a way it's useful because just in case you need to see what the area looks like, but in other ways it's privacy issue.
In some pictures you can see people or cars. Some people might not want their pictures online.
I personally think it's useful. And it's fun just looking up addresses and seeing what it looks like.

Today during IT we got to watch some 3D animation videos on youtube.
There are quite a few, but some are really funny and pretty good.

3D animation is pretty cool because if you do it well enough,
you can make it look real.
And the things that you can create is fun.
Figuring out what goes where and how something is going to fit, is complicated but once your done everything, it'll be amazing,

some movies are 3D and you need to wear special kind of glasses. Wearing these glasses will make the picture appear to be right in front of you and you feel like you can touch it.

So today is picture day. Whooopie. So we have to write an entry about pictures..or image?

I wasn't quite prepared for my picture. I just got up and did my regular thing. I didn't do anything special with my hair.

Today in our soceity, image is such a big thing. If you don't look a certain way, you don't belong. If your not size 2 and weigh like 100 pounds, your considered ugly.
People become so obsessed to being someone they're not.
I think being beautiful is that you have to be comfortable with who you are and not caring what others say about you. It doesn't matter if your a bigger size or have more meat in some areas. I think girls that feel comfortable are the prettiest girls.
Girls always look at magazines and t.v. shows and other stuff and imitate what they do or wear. Even if they're not comfortable with what they're doing, they still do it just to feel accepted.
Our world is such a judgmental place.

I say, as long as your eating a healthy diet, and having fun with life that's all you need. You din't need to work yourself to being like a famous person.
